Do you actually LIKE the stuff you make?

Do you actually LIKE the stuff you make?

What?!? NO! I don't "like" the stuff I make, I fucking LOVE IT! When you start any kind of business, there are usually two roads you can choose to travel on... Road one: You research the top 20 items that are sold in successful copy and paste shops in hopes that you'll be JUST different enough to make sales too... Or road two: You put everything you've got into products you love and would use yourself KNOWING that the window is immediately downsized as you're catering to a much smaller crowd. I've chosen road two for many reasons. I'm a creative personality who enjoys weird things, spooky things and obnoxious things. I'm also a fangirl of horror, video games, skulls and skeletons, Halloween, movies, etc. Though I'm sure I could make a shop that sold the same shit you see on Amazon or other little boutiques with their "make tons of cash" outlines, it would do nothing for my creative side and if I'm being honest, it wouldn't be... me. This process has not been easy and with my scattered brain, I have to have a physical checklist of shit to do each day just so I stay on track with everything (and it's a LOT!) and keep this going. I do believe in the products I'm selling, I own several pieces myself and above all I ENJOY creating things and being able to see them in peoples homes. Imagine an author seeing their book in a store for the first time... It's like that. :) If I didn't like the shit I was doing, I definitely wouldn't waste all the time to keep it going. If you believe in something and it's worth doing to you, there will be nothing that stops you from getting shit done. Enjoy the shop Creeps! Until next time...
